Alan and Abby Ismond founded Aqua-Terra Consultants in 1993, and the company has since grown to serve clients in the western seaboards of the United States and Canada. We have long-standing relationships with various federal, state, and provincial regulatory agencies, which gives us an edge in assisting our clients.

Alan Ismond, P.Eng

Alan has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, minor in food technology. He has more than 40 years of experience in the seafood and food industries, specializing and seafood processing and aquaculture for the last 25 years. To share his knowledge with the world, Alan has presented papers internationally and has been a contributing author of various books.

Abby Ismond

Abby has a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She has more than 20 years of experience in computer systems and support. Like Alan, she has specialized in the seafood processing industry for the last 25 years.

Event Hosting

Through our hardworking team, we were able to co-host the 2018 Seafood Wastewater Workshop in Astoria, OR held March 20–23. The workshop format included focused sessions with talks from industry consultants, vendors, and compliance experts.
